Reclaimed rubber is a process in which the bonds in a cross-linked rubber mass are broken and then re-formed into double bonds. It is produced from used tires and waste rubber and is considered the third source of rubber after natural and synthetic rubber. Recycling is an ecological necessity in both developing and developed countries, but it also plays an important role in the economy. The use of regenerated rubber in production helps reduce energy and raw material costs. At the same time, it complements the production of raw rubber and offers both economic benefits and a more elastic structure in the resulting finished product.
