PVI (CTP) (Cyclohexylthio Phthalimide)

It is a flame retardant for both natural and synthetic rubber. It provides predictable flame control in most sulfur vulcanization processes, as well as improvements in curing temperatures and associated cost-effectiveness. Its effectiveness is higher than that of most flame retardants. It is soluble in acetone, benzene, and carbon tetrachloride; sparingly soluble in gasoline; and insoluble in water. It is white or pale yellow in color.
