TMTD (Tetramethyl Thiuram Disulfide) (Powder & Granules)
Teklif AlınIt is a white powder or granules. Its density is 1.29. It is soluble in benzene, acetone, and CCl₄. It is partially soluble in alcohol, diethyl ether, and CCl₄. It is insoluble in water, gasoline, and low-concentration alkalis. Upon contact with hot water, it decomposes into dimethyl ammonium and CS₂. It can be used alone as an accelerator, as a secondary accelerator, or as a sulfur donor in most sulfur-cured elastomers. It provides fast burning and curing rates. In sulfur-free systems, it creates an excellent vulcanization plateau with resistance to thermal aging and pressure. It exhibits color retention properties in non-black vulcanizations. It can be used as a secondary accelerator for EPDM. It can be used as a retarder in the vulcanization of polychloroprene rubber with ETU. It can also be used as a bactericide and pesticide.
