ZMBT (Zinc Mercapto Benzothiazole) (Powder & Granules)

It is white or light yellow and comes in powder or granular form. It is sparingly soluble in acetone, benzene, ethanol, and carbon tetrachloride. It is insoluble in water and gasoline, and decomposes in strong acids and alkalis. It is used for NR, IR, SBR, NBR, EPDM, and latex. It can be considered an intermediate between MBT and MBTS. In solid rubber applications, it exhibits performance similar to MBT at curing temperatures. It has lower flammability and better processing safety. It disperses easily in rubber, yielding products that do not stain or discolor. It is primarily used in the production of latex products and foam rubber.
